GENDER & EQUALITY
Prevention of sexual violence
Raise awareness among young people on topics such as sexual exploitation and violence, as well as issues related to gender stereotypes and equality. Since 2010, the Gender and Equality program has offered a series of workshops and services aimed at strengthening the self-esteem, empowerment and critical thinking of young people, in order to enable them to flourish and reach their full potential without being limited by their gender.

Let's cultivate the Culture of Consent
Cultivating the Culture of Consent aims to prevent and work against sexual harassment and encourage a culture of consent in high schools and communities in the Côte-des-Neiges, Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Outremont and Town of Mount-Royal regions.
The project aims to raise awareness among youth in CDN-NDG aged 12 to 17 about sexual victimization and the different forms of control (manipulation/blackmail) in online and offline interpersonal relationships. This is done by creating safe and emancipatory spaces for youth that promote the construction of a positive identity in order to reduce their vulnerability to sexual exploitation.
Objectives of the project

01
Create systemic changes in school policies and practices related to the prevention, detection and intervention in situations of sexual harassment.
02
Extending these changes to the community, i.e.
to organizations and other institutions working
with young people, in order to have a collective impact on this
question and to contribute to advancing equality of
gender at the economic, social and democratic level.
03
Cultivate a culture of consent in targeted schools and neighborhoods to prevent harassment and
sexual violence.
04
Encourage and support the development of a
sense of commitment among young people in what
concerns the culture 14 of consent.
